MAGISTRATES have fined a man who was caught carrying cannabis.

Trevor Graham had a small amount of the drug on him when he was stopped and searched in Church Road, Portsmouth.

The unemployed 38-year-old, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to possessing a class B drug when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court. He was fined £90 with £100 in costs.

The money will automatically be taken out of the benefits he receives.
