A NEW date has been set for the inquest into the death of a mother who died at the Gosport War Memorial Hospital almost 15 years ago.

The hearing into the death of Gladys Richards will take place in Portsmouth on April 9 and is expected to last for two weeks.

Mrs Richards, 91, died at the Bury Road hospital in August 1998.

An inquest was due to be heard by the coroner for Portsmouth last year but it was delayed in order to find a venue capable of dealing with the large number of people expected to attend.
