HEARTBROKEN mum Michelle Darwin is appealing for thieves to return her son’s scooter.

The 38-year-old, of Farleigh Close, Leigh Park, is appealing for crooks to have a conscience after her son Zane had his scooter stolen.

The model, a JD Bug Pro V2, was a birthday gift at the end of August for the eight-year-old.

Mrs Darwin recently lost her job and says she cannot afford to replace the scooter, which cost about £100.

She said: ‘It was a birthday present but I also lost my job last week. How I am going to replace it?

‘I just want it back. I can’t afford to buy him another one. It’s his pride and joy.’

The scooter was taken while Zane was playing at Warren Park skatepark at about 5.30pm on Wednesday. Anyone with information can contact Mrs Darwin at shellygirl_3uk@yahoo.co.uk.
