A THUG threw a dustbin through the front window of a house in a religiously aggravated attack in Southsea.

Police have issued a description of a suspect after the criminal damage in Orchard Road.

Two Muslim men, one in his late teens and the other in his 30s, were walking home when a man on a bike shouted abuse at them as they passed Lucknow Street.

The cyclist followed the two men as they continued to walk home to Orchard Road, where the suspect then threw a dustbin through the front window of their house.

The victims were not physically assaulted or injured.

The man is described as white, in his early 20s, with short dark hair.

He wore a dark T-shirt and dark-coloured shorts.

He was riding a dark mountain bike, which had a piece of wood over the handlebars.

The wood was held by the cyclist when he was threatening the two men.

It happened at around 9.50pm on Monday, June 23, but police have only just released details.

Anyone who saw the attack or who has information about the identity of the suspect should call Fratton police station on 101.
