A total of 11 bottles of champagnes were stolen, together valued at £340.

Rob Jebb, Hampshire Police eastern area crime desk investigator, said: ‘It is known these type of criminals will travel far and wide sometimes from London and sell their stolen goods to unsuspecting small retail outlets with “no questions asked”, the use of a vehicle is strongly suspected but not seen.

‘We appeal for any information in connection with this or indeed any other similar high value retail crime.

‘We also advise those outlets to be on alert for individuals who may come into their stores seeking to commit these sorts of crime.’

The theft happened at about 1.25pm on Tuesday, April 3.

Call police with information on 101.
