POLICE are appealing for help to trace the owner of a sat nav system they believe is stolen.

Officers recovered a Garmin Nuvi after stopping a man in Cosham on Wednesday.

PC Lucy Gransden said: ‘We would like to return the sat nav to its owner but it has not been reported stolen.

‘If you believe this sat nav could be yours contact us with as much detail as possible including the serial number.’

A 26-year-old Portsmouth man was arrested on suspicion of theft from a vehicle and bailed until February 21.

Call PC Gransden on 101, quoting crime reference number 44120005694.
