A SUZUKI motorbike has been stolen from a home in Fareham.

Police are appealing for information following the burglary in Mill Road.

The offender broke in and left with the blue and yellow GSXR 600cc bike, leather motorcycle gloves, a helmet with distinctive oriental graphics and a man’s Gucci watch. It happened between 6pm on Friday, March 2 and 11.30am on Saturday, March 3.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘This burglary happened overnight in a heavily residential area of Fareham where a distinctive high performance motorcycle was stolen.

‘We would urge others to think about their home security, in particular, not to leave any house or vehicle keys near doors and letterboxes, and to remember that it only takes a few seconds for an experienced criminal to gain entry to a house if you forget to lock your doors properly.

‘This may have been an opportunist theft. However as the motorbike was quite distinctive, this may have been stolen to order.’
