MURDER detectives arrested a man in Southsea after the discovery of an elderly man’s body more than 100 miles away.

Police are treating the death of the man as murder – two days after his stabbed body was discovered by paramedics.
The 82-year-old was found at a property in Stroud, Gloucestershire, on Friday.
Gloucestershire Police yesterday announced a murder inquiry was under way.
Officers arrested a 47-year-old man, who is local to Stroud, more than 100 miles away in Southsea, Portsmouth.
They are now appealing for anyone with information to assist their investigation to come forward as a matter of urgency.
A force spokesman said: ‘Following the report to paramedics of a deceased 82-year-old man at an address in Gloucestershire, it is now clear that he died of stab wounds and so his death is now being treated as a murder investigation.
‘A 47-year-old man local to Stroud, has been arrested in Southsea, Hampshire’.
Anyone with information should call 101 and ask for Gloucestershire Police.
