A TEENAGER from Petersfield has been arrested in connection with a brawl at a carnival.

Several young people were assaulted at the annual Liphook carnival when a fight broke out.

Detectives are keen for more information following the incident, which was at about 7.30pm on Saturday, October 29.

PC Simeon Poulton, who is investigating, said: ‘On the night of the annual Liphook carnival a fight broke out at the fair on the Millennium Green involving two groups of youths.

‘A number of youths were assaulted, with one man sustaining serious facial injuries. This is a very busy event and I feel sure someone must know what happened. If you have any information about this assault please contact us.’

The 17-year-old boy was questioned by police and bailed until November 27, pending further inquiries.
