TWO people have been arrested after scores of cars had their tyres slashed in Southsea.

A 29-year-old man from Southsea and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage following the incident in the early hours of Christmas eve.

As reported, residents of Festing Road and the adjoining Festing Grove woke to find their vehicles had been attacked.

They believe vandals struck around 50 cars parked along the roads during the early hours.

The AA helped fit spare tyres which motorists had.

The pair have been bailed until March 9, pending further enquiries.
