FOUR arrests have been made after a group of men were spotted throwing glass bottles and alcohol out of a 12th floor window.

Police were called to deal with the situation at Horatia House, in Meriden Road, Southsea, at 8.20pm on Thursday night. The group were causing trouble from the 12th floor of the block of flats.

A 20-year-old man, of Southsea, an 18-year-old man, of Southsea, a 17-year-old man of Worthing, West Sussex, and a 26-year-old man, of no fixed abode, were arrested shortly before 9pm.

They remain in police custody for questioning.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We had a report of people throwing empty glass bottles and alcohol from the window of the 12th floor.

‘We attended and four arrests were made.

‘All four have been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.’

No-one was injured during the incident.

Police are keen to speak to witnesses.
