A MAN has been fined for beating a woman.

Nick Challis, from Cockleshell Square, Gosport, pleaded guilty to the assault in Gosport.

Chalis was fined £165 by Fareham magistrates.

The 56-year-old was ordered to pay £20 to a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs.

Magistrates decided to make no order for compensation.
