FIREFIGHTERS were called to a high street store after the shop filled with smoke which activated the fire alarm.
When a crew from Cosham fire station arrived at the Boots store, on High Street, Cosham, they discovered the property had been broken into.
Burglars had smashed the front door of the shop to gain entry into the property.

The fire crew was called to the incident at 7am yesterday by one of the shop’s workers, and firefighters made the scene safe.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
There were no people on the scene when fire crews arrived, except the shop worker.
Police were also at the scene and are now carrying out an investigation.
Officers are now urging any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or 0845 045 4545.
