A DRINK-DRIVER caught behind the wheel while more than twice the legal limit has been banned from the roads.

Howard Price, 50, of Copythorne Road, Copnor, Portsmouth, admitted committing the offence while driving a Vauxhall Astra in Forton Road, Gosport.

A test revealed his breath contained 93 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

He was fined £300 and told to pay £30 to a fund for crime victims and £85 costs.

He was banned from driving for two years.
