MAGISTRATES have banned a drink-driver from the roads.

David Roberts, 20, of Belvoir Close, Fareham, admitted driving a Vauxhall Astra in Gudge Heath Lane, Fareham, after drinking too much on August 3.

A test revealed his breath contained 91 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80mg.

Roberts was fined £200 and banned from driving for a year by Fareham magistrates.

He was also told to pay £85 costs and £15 to a fund for crime victims.
