RUSH-HOUR commuters received an unexpected shock when they were confronted by a bloodied man.
The man had been involved in a fight in a layby on Friday between 5pm and 5.30pm on Barnes Lane, Sarisbury Green, near Fareham.
Police received reports that a BMW and a white transit van had pulled over and a dispute between the drivers had happened, before a third vehicle, a red van, also pulled over.
After the fracas, which saw a 31-year-old man from Southampton receive injuries to his face, the three vehicles drove off, leaving the man in the layby.
During the disagreement, the white transit van was damaged.
The man, who had blood on his shirt, then tried to stop vehicles on the other side of the road to seek assistance.
Police were called but a spokesman confirmed they were not investigating as no complaint had been made.
