A YOUNGSTER was attacked by a gang of older boys who stole his shoes and threw them on to a dual carriageway.

The 10-year-old boy was on the footbridge over the A32 at Broadcut, Fareham, last Friday, between 5pm and 6pm when he was approached by a group of five boys aged 15 to 17. They grabbed the victim and threw his shoes on to the road below. He was otherwise unharmed.

PC Francesca Munro said: ‘This is a clear case of bullying and will not be tolerated.

‘Not only has this group left the boy shaken and upset, they have also risked road users below by throwing the shoes off the bridge.

‘We would ask that anyone who witnessed this incident, or has any information about those responsible, to come forward as soon as possible.’

Call Fareham police on 101.
