TWO bungalows in the same street have been targeted by burglars.

Police are appealing for information after two similar burglaries at homes in Stanley Close, Gosport.

The first happened between 11pm on April 22 and 2am on April 23.

The homeowner, a woman in her 60s, was asleep on the sofa when a burglar got into her home.

A handbag with cat faces on and brown handles was taken along with a tan-coloured purse and a bus pass.

The thief also took some pictures, a pair of glasses, asthma medication and a gold chain with a gold heart pendant on it.

A 22-carat gold ring with a red stone was also taken.

The second burglary was just after 1.40am on April 30.

The homeowners, a couple in their 40s, were asleep when they were woken up by a man trying to get into their bedroom window.

When the man was disturbed he ran away.
