A BURGLAR let himself into a home and fled with a television while the householder was in.

The intruder got into the property in Botley Drive, Havant,through the open front door.

Police say the thief then removed a 19in LCD television from a bedroom before walking out of the house.

The householder later discovered the TV had been stolen at about 7pm on April 12.

Police have only just released details of the crime.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: ‘Police would like to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in Botley Road around the time of the offence, particularly anyone who saw anyone with a TV.

‘Officers would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered such a television set for sale.’
