A THIEF has stolen a computer worth £1,000 from a home in a targeted burglary.

The resident opened the door to the burglar in Beryton Close, Gosport, between 5am and 6am on Thursday.

The thief demanded certain items of property and then stole the desktop computer.

Officers have said this is an isolated incident and they believe the home was targeted.

The victim described the thief as white, 5ft 7ins tall with pale, freckled skin.

At the time his face was covered with a black jumper and he was wearing a white or light-coloured jacket and soft dark-coloured gloves.

He also had dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers on.

Police said he left the home carrying a large box.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or recognises the description of the offender, can call DC Neil Harrison at Fareham District CID on 101.
