A GOLD and platinum engagement ring worth £15,000 and £4,000 in cash was stolen from a Southsea flat.

Police are hunting the burglar, who struck at Cresta Court flats in Eastern Parade on August 22 between 1pm and 5pm.

PC Megan Edwards said: ‘The ring that was stolen is of great sentimental value to the victim and is irreplaceable so we would like to be able to return it to the victim.’

Police said they were unsure about how the burglar got into the communal building, but the flat was then entered through the front door. Call 101 with any information.
