BURGLARS targeted five homes in just 90 minutes, police have revealed.

Detectives in Portsmouth are investigating three burglaries and two attempted burglaries in Baffins in Stride Avenue, Myrtle Grove and Wallisdean Avenue.

They all happened between 1.30am and 3am on Saturday.

A Hampshire police spokesman said the burglar used an implement to force open the front door and most doors were made of uPVC.

Mobile phones, laptops and some jewellery were stolen from three homes.

The spokesman added: ‘[Detectives] are advising people where possible to make sure they double-lock doors at night or when they are not in.

‘They would also like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incidents on Saturday or knows anything about the crimes.’ Call 101.
