DISTINCTIVE jewellery was stolen in a house burglary.

Crooks fled the property in Grosvenor Road, Chichester with an extremely rare one-inch gold dagger-shaped Cartier brooch with a ruby, diamond and sapphire inset and a Cartier box.

Other items taken include rings, pendants and earrings.

The burglary happened overnight on September 7 but police have only just released details.

The break-in is being linked to a burglary at a shed in Grosvenor Road between September 5 and September 8 in which power tools were stolen.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested and questioned but bailed until November. 12.

Det Con Jon Stadius said: ‘I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around Grosvenor Road over the weekend from Friday, September 5, and who saw or heard anything suspicious.’
