ANOTHER two houses in the Fareham area have been burgled taking the total of houses hit to at least 11 in the past two weeks.

Following a report in The News last week, police have now released details of a further two burglaries.

They are appealing for information after bottles of wine and a ladies’ gold Seiko watch were taken from a house in Hillway, Portchester between 7.50pm and 9.45pm on Tuesday, December 4.

Another property on Heather Gardens, in Fareham, had its front door smashed between 8.30am and 9.45am on Tuesday, December 3. The burglars were unable to get in.

If you have any information connected to either crime contact PSI Jane Dye at Fareham Police Station by calling 101.

DC Dermot Mcbride of the Priority Crime Team said: ‘We would appeal to householders to ensure properties are secure, including side gates during the day.

‘Lock all windows and doors and remember to double lock UPVC doors and do not leave keys on view or in door locks.

‘If you won’t be back until the evening please make use of timer switches to leave some lighting on within the address.’
