THIEVES have stolen cash, laptops, champagne and computer games from unlocked homes.

The burglars snuck into the two homes in St Edward’s Road in Gosport between the night of Tuesday, February 26 and the early hours of Wednesday, February 27.

Police have only now released the details of the thefts.

Money, two laptops, four bottles of champagne and a Nintendo Wii games console with games were taken.

PC Tara Magnus at Fareham and Gosport CID said she wants to hear from witnesses or anyone offered the goods.

She said: ‘Did you see or hear anything overnight on Tuesday, February 26 into Wednesday, February 27 which may assist with the police investigation?

‘Have you been offered any of the stolen property for sale?

‘Please make sure you lock and secure all windows and doors before you go to bed and keep rear garden gates locked to prevent burglars trespassing into your garden.’

Anyone with information should call PC Magnus at Fareham and Gosport CID on 101.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
