THIEVES broke into a home while the householders slept.

Residents at the property in Northcote Road, Southsea, awoke to discover they had been burgled.

Police believe the crooks put an implement through the letterbox and got in through the front door.

They fled with a Panasonic camera, a silver Apple laptop, black and brown business bag containing computer leads and a pink piggy bank with more than £100 overnight on November 7.

Detective Constable David Anderson said: ‘This is an extremely unpleasant experience for the victims. It is very unsettling to find out that someone has been in your house while you were asleep. I would like to hear from anybody who heard or saw anything suspicious.’

Call police on 101.
