A CITY centre shop has been targeted by burglars for a second time.

Ann Summers, in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, was broken into after two men smashed the store’s glass front door. It’s thought the pair were riding pushbikes before going into the shop and escaping with stock.

Police officers were called to the scene shortly before half past midnight on Wednesday morning and are continuing to investigate.

The shop was also targeted in November last year when a gang of burglars stole £50,000 worth of goods in a late night raid.

The gang smashed into the back of the adult store and once inside they piled security tagged underwear and corsets into boxes, virtually clearing out the front of the store.

Officers are investigating several lines of enquiry surrounding Wednesday’s break in, and said members of the public had provided information already.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
