A MAN has appeared in court charged with burglary.

Lewis Walker, 23, of Nelson Road, Portsmouth, faces an allegation of burglary between June 27 and July 2 at Castle Street, in Portchester. Walker spoke only to confirm his identity at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He also faces a charge of failing to comply with sex offenders’ register notification requirements between April 15 and July 21. He will appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on August 17.

n A 26-year-old woman from Gosport was arrested over the burglary and bailed.
