A BURGLAR broke into a home through an open downstairs window while the owners were asleep upstairs.

The intruder entered through a toilet window in East Street, Portchester, between 10.30am on November 1 and 7am the next morning.

A Wii Fit board, iPod Nano, Nintendo DS, carriage clock, Radley handbag and purse, Novatech laptop and a Fuji camera were all taken from downstairs in the home.

PC Matt Morgan appealed for information. He said: ‘If you saw anyone acting suspiciously around the time of the burglary, or if you can provide information about those responsible, you should get in touch with police as soon as possible by calling Fareham police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.’
