A CAR has been damaged in a hit-and-run in Southsea.
Will Kelly, 38, said his blue Nissan Qashqai was hit at around 6am in Clarence Parade, Southsea, where it was parked overnight just yards away from the Palm Hotel.
Hampshire police confirmed the force had a report of the second car driving off after the crash.
Mr Kelly, a managing director at a translation company, said: ‘It’s not safe to use, the insurance company said the damage is in the area of the petrol tank.
‘They advised use to leave it where it is.
‘We have to dispose of two child seats in the back too.’

Mr Kelly is appealing for help in finding any witnesses or CCTV.
And he said a wing mirror and light from the grey-coloured car that drove off had been left at the scene.
Mr Kelly only found out about the damage when a neighbour returning from a night shift spotted the wreck.
A witness from the hotel told him the other car had been travelling west.
