A DRIVER was arrested after crashing her car through a hedge and gate.

A Ford Fiesta left the road as it was travelling along Copse Lane on Hayling Island and went into the front garden.

The incident happened shortly after 8pm on Sunday.

South Central Ambulance Service took one person to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

One woman, the driver, aged 42, was arrested.

Police have not released any further details.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: ‘We were called in attendance by the ambulance service.

‘The vehicle had come off the road and into the front garden of a property.

‘The vehicle has been recovered and the driver was taken to QA.’
