THE owner of a car with a sticker using obscene language to make fun of disabled people has written a letter of apology.

Geoff Holt, a disability rights campaigner who runs the Wet Wheels charity, complained to police after seeing the sticker on a car at Gunwharf Quays.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: ‘The owner of the car, a 22-year-old man from Portsmouth, was questioned by police yesterday morning.

‘He apologised, removed the sticker from the car, and has written a general letter of apology to anyone who was offended.’
