THIS man is wanted in connection with a burglary in which charity cash was stolen.
The theft happened at a property in Copse Lane, Hayling Island, while the homeowner was away on holiday.
A burglar forced their way in through a back door, searched the home and stole between £60 and £80 that had been collected for a local charity.
Police launched a probe following the theft, which happened between about 3pm and 4.30pm on July 21.
During the course of their investigation officers scoured CCTV footage at local stores.
They believe this man, who was caught on camera in a local branch of Tesco at around the time the burglary took place, is connected to the crime.
He was clocked in the Church Road branch of Tesco Express on Hayling Island. Now police have released this CCTV image.
PC Nicola Burton said: ‘We are appealing for witnesses to this burglary who may have seen it being committed, or has any information about those responsible.
‘During our investigation we have identified a potential suspect, captured on CCTV in a local branch of Tesco around the time of the burglary.
‘We are seeking to identify this man – seen in the pictures with the muscular build and wearing blue jeans and black polo shirt.
‘He was in the Tesco Express, Church Road, Hayling Island and may be local.
