Mr Jeffrey, 18, from Bognor Regis, died of a single stab wound inflicted on the night of March 11 in Chichester.

During a week-long trial, the court heard how Morgan stabbed Mr Jeffrey following a row over money for drugs.

He died the following day at Southampton General Hospital.

The jury accepted Mr Morgan’s account that he had used a kitchen knife in self defence and had not intended to kill or seriously injure the fellow teenager.
