A WINDOW cleaner has been jailed for three years after being found guilty of burglary.

Daniel Hobden, 30, of Victoria Drive, Chichester, was found guilty of burgling a house at East Row, Chichester, on July 19.

Brighton Crown Court heard Hobden was working as a window cleaner at flats in East Row when a resident heard a window open and close and then discovered money had been taken.

After he had been found guilty, the court heard Hobden had been previously convicted of more than 12 offences of burglary. He was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment.

Detective Constable David Midgley, from Sussex police, said: ‘This is an example of a quick-thinking homeowner assisting police to bring an offender to justice.’
