FREE child car seat safety checks will be on offer at a supermarket tomorrow.

The tests have been organised by Portsmouth City Council and are carried out by staff from Baby 2000 in Copnor Road.

Checks are on offer at Tesco in North Harbour, Portsmouth, from 10am and 3.30pm tomorrow.

Deborah Dalzell, council road safety officer, said: ‘Whether you are a parent, grandparent, or child-minder it is important that you have correctly fitted seats appropriate for the age and weight of any child you are transporting.’
