THE Coastguard helicopter was launched after parents reported their little boy missing in Southsea.

The family was close to South Parade Pier when the boy disappeared yesterday.

The Coastguard alerted the RNLI and the Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service just after 1.20pm when it was feared the boy could have been in the water.

Around 30 minutes later the search was stood down when the boy was found safe and well in Southsea.
