Police say they are growing concerned over the whereabouts of a man with mental health problems who is missing from hospital.

John Mills, 70, was last seen at Uplands Hospital in Fareham at 6.15pm yesterday.

Mr Mills suffers from mental health problems, and requires medication for his condition, which he does not have with him.

Members of the public are being advised not to approach the 70-year-old, but to call police immediately.

He is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, with a slim build and grey hair.

He walks with an unsteady gait and was last seen wearing a dark checked shirt, navy jacket, jeans, and black shoes.

Anyone who has seen somebody matching Mr Mills’ description, or knows of his whereabouts, should call police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
