A MAN who used threatening words or behaviour has been given a conditional discharge.

Ashleigh Harris, 21, of Powerscourt Road, North End, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to committing the public order offence while in Kent Road, Southsea, on July 21, when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He also admitted failing to surrender to custody after being released on police bail in September.

Magistrates issued a warrant for his arrest, but later withdrew it after Harris appeared at court.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge. Magistrates made no order for costs.
