THE inquest into a woman who died in a Gosport hospital has been moved forward.

As previously reported in The News, Gladys Richards, 91, died at Gosport War Memorial Hospital in 1998.

It has taken 14 years for her daughter Gillian MacKenzie to secure an inquest into the cause of her mother’s death, which sparked a police investigation into the hospital. David Horsley, coroner for Portsmouth and South East Hampshire, said the inquest will now start on December 3 instead of December 5, and will go on until December 15.
