A THIEF who was banned from car parks on Portsea Island has now been banned from all car parks in Portsmouth.

Magistrates agreed to widen the area covered under Chris Walker’s antisocial behaviour order after an application from the Crown Prosecution Service.

Walker has broken into more cars in Portsmouth in the past decade than anyone else and has more than 170 convictions for car crime.

Detective Constable Chris Dinenage said: ‘Chris Walker has targeted Portsmouth residents and visitors alike for the past 10 years.

‘Walker is a callous individual who has no regard for the suffering he causes and will attack cars at all times of the day stealing anything left on show.

‘Please try to prevent yourself becoming a victim of crime by securing your car and remove anything of value.’

As previously reported Walker, 28, of Sackville Street, Southsea, was given the Asbo in 2010 and it is due to run until January 2015.

He has repeatedly breached the order and continued breaking into cars to fund his drug habit.
