Crookhorn shooting: police arrest man for '˜conspiring to murder'

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of conspiring both to murder and supply class A drugs, in the sixth arrest made after a man was shot in the head.

Police said a man, 26, from Surrey, was arrested on Wednesday but bailed until May 11.

It comes after Jamie Sibley, 34, was shot in Athena Avenue, Crookhorn, last Monday.

Five others have been arrested, with two facing no action and the other three bailed to April 28

A Hampshire police spokesman said: ‘Officers are still trying to locate the weapon used in the incident, which remains a priority for the investigation.

‘If you have any information that could assist this investigation please contact Detective Chief Inspector David Brown at Fratton police station on 101 quoting 44170055790 – Operation Endorse.’

Mr Sibley’s family made an appeal for ‘justice for Jamie’ after on the week-anniversary of the attack. He is stable in hospital but suffered life-changing injuries.
