A 60-YEAR-OLD man who admitted driving while almost three times the legal alcohol limit has been put on a curfew.

Derek Gibbs, of Eastern Road, Southsea, drove a vehicle near his home when his blood contained 236mg of alcohol per 100ml. The legal limit is 80mg.

Gibbs was told not to leave home from 6pm and 3am for 60 days and pay £85 costs.

Portsmouth magistrates also banned him from driving for three years.
