A WOMAN’S bag and phones were stolen in a daylight theft.

The 46-year-old was walking from Randolph Road, in North End, Portsmouth, toward Torrington Road on Saturday.

A man on a bike rode past and snatched her black leather handbag.

It containined an iPhone, a Samsung Galaxy phone and a black purse containing cash and a debit card.

He was on a dark-coloured mountain bike and was white, with dark brown hair and was wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans.

PC Helen Bibby said: ‘This type of incident is unusual in Portsmouth.

‘This incident happened in daylight on a Saturday afternoon. We would appeal to anyone who may have seen this man on a bike in the area to contact us.’
