THIEVES broke into an opticians and stole dozens of sunglasses worth more than £1,000.

The suspects smashed a large hole in the front door of Rawlings Opticians, at St Johns Centre, Hedge End, before entering the store and taking 15 Rayban and one pair of Giorgio Armani shades.

The incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday, June 6.

Police are now on the hunt for the offenders.

Officers are asking people who have information about the burglary or who have been offered these brands of sunglasses to call Hedge End police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
