POLICE are investigating after a man claimed he was attacked and knocked unconscious.

The 27-year-old reported to officers that he was outside the West Town Hotel in Station Road, Hayling, between midnight and 1am on Saturday when the assault happened.

The victim said it was in the car park and he was left with bruises and grazes to his face, hand and arm.

His attacker was white, 5ft 11in with short light-brown hair and a short styled beard.

He had tattoos on one of his arms and was wearing a black T-shirt and black trousers.

Havant police have asked anyone who may have seen anything, or knows any information about the incident to contact them on 101 quoting 44150120826.
