A FAMILY came under attack as they chatted in a park.

Police have now released an efit of a man wanted in connection with the assault in Havant Park.

A 57-year-old woman was talking to her grown-up son and daughter when two men with Liverpudlian accents came up to them.

One tried to attack her son with a 2ft tyre iron.

He quickly ran off before the man got hold of him.

The woman and daughter shouted at the men to stop but they turned their attention to them.

One kicked the mother in the stomach and threatened to kill her, her daughter and her son before walking out of the park towards Aldi.

The mother suffered minor injuries.

Both men are white. One is in his early 40s and stocky with messy grey hair. The second man was very large and aged about 35.

If you saw the incident, which happened at 2.20pm on Wednesday, September 30, or recognise the man in the efit call Detective Constable Andy Sims at Fratton police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 1111.
