POLICE arrested a man and seized a dog after a report of a man being bitten in the street.

It happened in Gosport’s High Street at around 1pm on December 11, but police have only just released details.

Officers applied to the courts for a warrant to be issued for them to seize the dog. The dog was then seized on December 28.

A 27-year-old man from Gosport was arrested on suspicion of failing to comply with a dog control order, and allowing his dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place.
