Police today warned of dog thieves in Hampshire after a bid to steal a pug puppy being walked by its owner.

DOG thieves have tried to steal a pug puppy, police have warned.

PCSO Tria Gibbs said: ‘There has been an attempt to take a pug puppy while the owner was walking in Clanfield.

‘At this time a Subaru with a navy blue top and silver bottom and three males trying to entice the puppy into the car.’

PCSO Gibbs added: ‘Please make sure when walking your dog that you do not let it go too far and always keep it in sight.

She warned that there have been several attempts to take dogs across Hampshire in the last few days.

Elsewhere, a black Labrador also went missing from East Meon and a white springer spaniel vanished in Four Marks.
