A WOMAN who endured domestic abuse gave advice to other victims in an online police chat.
The woman, named Jenny by police, was among a panel of officers and social workers taking part in a web chat, which was organised by Sussex Police.
She said: ‘I knew I was about to lose everything and my home – I had nothing more to lose and I didn’t want him to win. I knew I either lay down and die or stand up and change things.
‘I wanted to do anything I can to help this event, even if it only helps one person. It takes a lot to stand up and help other people but we are all capable of making a change.’
Further events focussing on domestic abuse will start next Friday including a 24-hour Tweetathon and the launch of a video. For more details visit sussex.police.uk.
